Jeff Haller - Managing Partner

A native of St. Louis, Jeff has spent nearly 20 years in sales, marketing and company-building. His expertise spans consulting, information technology, and the telecom industry - all of which led to the founding of DataServ in 1994. Although the term had not been developed yet, DataServ was the first Software as a Service (SaaS) provider of document and process automation. Jeff has successfully led the company through many growth phases and at least two recessions. He is also Board President of the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition, which is focused on eliminating the time kids spend in foster care by quickly finding them homes.
Kathi Haller, CPA - Chief Financial Officer

Kathi Haller is a co-owner of DataServ and currently serves as its Chief Financial Officer. Her responsibilities include not only the Finance team, but also the Legal, Human Resources, and Client Service functions. Client Service includes team members which deliver Client Support as well as DataServ’s Digital Mailroom service. During the last 10+ years at DataServ, Kathi has been responsible for driving profitability, creating scalable operations, providing funding for DataServ’s foundation and growth, and providing strategic direction. Most recently, Kathi has taken on a product development role in updating and standardizing DataServ Solutions. Prior to DataServ, Kathi spent 10 years in public accounting at Deloitte. In her progressively more responsible roles in the Audit practice, she served several Fortune 500 clients. As a Senior Manager, she gained an in-depth understanding of a variety of accounts payable, accounts receivable and human resource transaction cycles and document flows. Her passion and fairness have led DataServ to strong profitability, excellent long-term client relationships and a strong employee team which is an asset to the organization. She recently served a six year Governing Board term with the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition and also currently serves on the Finance Committee at Forsyth School in St. Louis.
David Berndt - Chief Technical Officer

Dave has nearly 16 years of experience in the information systems and technology arena. Since beginning his career with Andersen Consulting, he has accumulated a diverse systems expertise. Technical specialties include SaaS, imaging, COLD / ERM, EDM and ECM, data-communications, midrange and mainframe computers, as well as business process design. He has led DataServ through many SaaS innovations. Dave is active in the St. Louis and national Society for Information Management (SIM) and is currently the President-elect.
John Sandman - Vice President, Client Services

When John came to DataServ in 2002, he brought over 20 years of management experience in client support, training and technical operations. This prepared him to work effectively with DataServ clients and solution sets, understanding business needs as well as the programs that support them. John brings a strong client advocacy to his work. He has assembled a veteran Client Service Team to support you with one goal in mind: exceed expectations. Outside of work, John is active in local community boards and enjoys a variety of athletic activities.
Mike Brown – Director of Software Platform Development

Mike has over 20 years of development experience in systems and software. He has worked for high technology start-ups, large corporations and scientific research organizations including SBC, Williams Communications, CoreExpress and NOAO. He has multiple patents and pending applications in IP services, HDTV and content delivery. Mike has a Masters degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis and holds both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Physics from North Carolina State University.
Larry Olive – Manager, Client Support

When Larry came to DataServ in 2008 he brought over 10 years of management experience in client support and technical operations with him. His previous client-focused work at companies like Edward Jones and Reuters has given him a broad understanding of what it takes to provide high levels of technical support. He manages our team of Client Support Representatives to consistently deliver this service plus build strong relationships.
Steven Earhart – Manager, IT & Operations

Steven has been working in IT since the beginning of the modern Internet, and his background in Computer Science, Networking, and Infrastructure brings a holistic approach to DataServ's IT & Operations department. This experience allows DataServ to go beyond the typical "Are our servers on?" approach and instead look end-to-end at "What is the client's actual experience?" Steven also enjoys online-gaming, piano, and spending time with his wife and son.
Jamey Biegener – Manager, Solution Delivery

Jamey brings over 12 years of IT analysis, development and consulting experience to DataServ. She has served several roles since joining the company in 2004, including over 80 project initializations for our new and existing clients. Recently promoted to Manager of Solution Delivery, Jamey contributes a high level of expertise and applies her years of best practice knowledge to each project and to the Solution Delivery team.
Tom Gudenkauf – Project Manager

Tom joined DataServ in 2007 as Manager of the Digital Mailroom. He brings over 15 years of management experience from the insurance industry where he had responsibility over imaging operations, building operations and technical support. His focus on quality and efficiency using industry best practices greatly benefited DataServ’s world class Digital Mailroom. He recruited and developed a strong, quality-focused team resulting in a staff retention rate that far exceeds the industry average. In October of 2011 Tom took on the role of Project Manager for DataServ. His experience managing the Digital Mailroom and overseeing projects in operations and building facilities made Tom a natural fit for this role. Tom is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and enjoys travel, woodworking and a variety of outdoor activities.
Amy Cameron – Assistant Manager, Digital Mailroom

Amy began her career at DataServ over 9 years ago as a team member in the Digital Mailroom. She worked all areas of the department and understands fully what is required to provide clients fast, accurate data capture while processing literally millions of documents each month. With her promotion to Assistant Manager, Amy took charge of monitoring daily client workflows, making sure industry best practices are applied to all department procedures and she also manages the company’s offshore data capture partner in India.
