Human Resources Coordinator - Part-Time (Open)
Accountable for developing and designing policies and procedures to attract and retain top talent. Work with DataServ Partners and outside service providers to identify, recruit, hire, train and support the ongoing development of our highly innovative and engaged workforce. Reports to Partner in charge of Human Resources.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree, preferred
- PHR or SPHR certification, preferred
- 3+ years of experience working as an HR generalist
- Available to work 10-20 hours per week across at least 3 days each week
- Excellent PC skills and hands-on Internet experience required
- Ability to work independently yet support team responsibilities
- A positive, friendly, can-do attitude
- Ability to deliver on-site training and/or presentations is a plus
Responsibilities:
Benefits
- Coordinate employee medical/dental/vision/life/disability benefits, annual renewal and open enrollment
- Oversee COBRA process with service provider
- Oversee the administration of the 401k plan and ensure that DataServ performs its duties as Trustee
- Oversee the administration of the Flexible Spending Account plan
- Participate with the Accountant to track and communicate PTO information to team members
- Assist with ideas and plans for team member events
- Birthday celebrations, happy hours, anniversary recognition, spring employee appreciation BBQ, summer family event, holiday party, etc.
Communication
- Develop and deliver a communication plan to team members to maintain high employee engagement and morale
- Develop and maintain HR portion of employee intranet site
- Play an active role in HR Advisory Committee Meetings
Team Member Development & Compensation
- Coordinate the overall development and training plans for team members
- Career planning and skills inventory development
- Coordinate new employee orientation
- Ensure overall plan and quality of orientation content
- Coordinate the orientation schedule for each new employee
- Deliver HR portions of orientation
- Coordinate annual employee review and goal setting process
- Assist in preparation of raise letters and annual compensation summaries
- Utilize Topgrading methodologies to assist managers in continuously developing talent
- Administer and maintain employee compensation plans including commission and bonus programs
Compliance
- Coordinate the completion of all new employee paperwork
- Verify the quality and completeness of each new employee’s paperwork
- Coordinate employee termination process and complete all HR paperwork. Coordinate or conduct exit interviews.
- Ensure that all employee files are complete and accurate
- Maintain the Team Member Handbook
- Oversee Unemployment Claims with service provider
- Work with HR service providers to stay current with HR policy, standards and practices and advise partner
Hiring
- Assist Managers with recruiting efforts
- Candidate search, screening, interviewing, testing, background checks, drug testing
- Maintain communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process
- Create and maintain team member position descriptions
General
- Assist with handling of employee issues and work with HR Partner and service providers to resolve
- Handle regular employee inquiries
