Web UI Developer (Open)
Position Description:
DataServ is a pioneering SaaS (Software as a Service) company specializing in document and process automation. Delivering best practice solutions tailored to our client's needs more rapidly and cost effectively than is possible with traditional software, you’ll be working on engines that run the DataServ SaaS platform.
DataServ has an opening for a user interface developer who enjoys building leading edge web-based applications. Typical responsibilities include creation of the functional estimate document, business requirements analysis, solution design and implementation, unit test plan creation and execution, process documentation and resolution of defects and integration issues.
Responsibilities:
- Estimate, design, build, test, debug and troubleshoot web-based applications and scripts
- Implement projects within estimated hours while meeting or exceeding DataServ quality standards and client expectations
- Document modules, applications, systems and processes created or modified during development
- Perform knowledge transfer to other groups within DataServ
- Optimize and develop product offerings based on user feedback and analysis
- Collaborate with the team to plan and design new functionality
- Do whatever it takes to translate product designs and requirements into launch ready product offerings
- Contribute to design brainstorming sessions
- Work closely with partners to ensure quality product is designed and developed in a timely manner
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experienced with test driven development
- Experienced writing development documentation
- Thorough understanding of web-based user interface technologies
- Experienced with user centered design techniques and approaches
- Limited travel (5-20%)
- Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus
- Our ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience developing user interfaces using at least several of following tools, technologies and systems:
- ActionScript 3.0, Flex 3 / Flash CS / AIR
- HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, DOM, AJAX
- Object oriented JavaScript development
- Cross-browser compatibility issues
- Object Oriented Programming
- Experience using libraries and frameworks like Ajax libraries Jquery - in JavaScript
- Experience working in java and relational database based environment or
working and interfacing with server side java engineers
- LAMP and similar technologies
- Automated build and test systems, functional, unit, and integration testing
- Must be willing to relocate to St. Louis
